Conference "Youth education and employment".

Prishtina,05-06 December 2013-The DVV-International national office in Kosovo in close cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (MEST), Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (MLSW) and the Ministry of Culture. Youth and Sports (MCYS), on:  05-06 December 2013 at Hotel Grand in Prishtina organized the conference: "Youth education and employment". This Conference was financed by DVV International office, whereas the logistics and the coordination for its progress was realized in full cooperation with the three above mentioned Ministries.

This two day conference was attended by 155 participants, representatives of state education institutions, private education providers in Kosovo, civil society sector and NGOs and social partners. 

During the conference were presented the current achievements in the field of education for the youth in Kosovo and future plans and recommendations were proposed, with the aim of raising the quality and developing the youth and adult education as well as increase the employment rates in Kosovo.

This conference gave a message to the Kosovo public in particular to the main actors of education in Kosovo, that in order to achieve satisfactory results in the field of youth and adult education and employment in Kosovo, first of all it is necessary that we have a coordinated approach by the Ministries, private providers and social partners. This approach would increase the quality and importance of youth and adult education, it would strengthen the institutional and managing capacities of the education and employment system and would establish a strong financial ground for developing the sustainability of the employment of the young and other groups of adults in Kosovo.
