Training the trainers of the Regional Vocational Training Centers in Kosovo

October, 2014-DVV International in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and the University of Prishtina (Faculty of Pedagogy and Faculty of Education) organized three day trainings for the trainers of the Regional Vocational Training Centers (RVTC). These trainings were attended by 57 trainers from the above mentioned centers which provide modular system courses for the persons registered as unemployed in Kosovo. the trainings were held in Prizren 15-18 October 2014, in Prishtina 22-24 October 2014,, and in Peja 29-31 October 2014.

The elaborated topics in these trainings were:

·         Differences between teaching children and adults;

·         Adult teaching styles/ needs, motives, potentials and obstacles;

·         Teacher's role in vocational learning and training;

·         Independent methodologies of adult education;

·         Characteristics and dynamics of group work;

·         Curricula, planning and drafting of results of adult learning;

·         Teaching resources and materials;

·         Group work: Planing adult teaching.

Upon the completion of the trainings all attendants evaluated maximally these trainings, and emphasized the need to continue organizing such trainings.

The Andragogic Handbook for Teachers (translated in Albanian language) was used during these trainings, and all participants were awarded the attendance Certificates, whereas the trainers were: Prof. Dr. Demë Hoti, and Prof.Dr. Naser Zabeli  from the Faculty of Pedagogy and Faculty of Education in Prishtina.
