Skills enhancement of women and girls from rural areas of the Municipality of Mitrovica by the training centre “German Training Centre”

1 October 2008 – 30 December 2008. After successful completion of the courses dedicated for women and girls from rural parts of Mitrovica municipality, who have a very low education record and who have completed four years of the entry school as per project “Window of Life” during the last two years, there was a need for further professional training for these women so that they could better place their food products in the market and have a better perspective in the labour market.

Many undereducated women and girls from the villages of Mitrovica region place their food products on the market but they do not have some sort of a previous education to reach better results in this field. Association ARrK in cooperation with the German Training Centre have organized three-monthly courses on the topic of “Processing of food items” for 45 women and girls from the villages of this region.

Training on the abovementioned vocation will last three months and the completion of the course, participants will be better prepared to carry out their professions and will also receive valid certificates which will enable them to have better access in the labour market and will further increase the possibilities for the placement of their home-processed food products on the market.
